Tires in new Precision line as well as Firehawk Wide Oval Indy 500 and Destination ST on display at Chicago Auto Show
CHICAGO, Ill. (Feb. 10, 2010) - The Firestone brand, with more than 109 years of history, wrote an exciting new chapter to its legacy today as Bridgestone Americas Tire Operations (BATO) introduced four new Firestone branded tires at the 2010 Chicago Auto Show.

The four new Firestone brand tires include two new Precision tires, a new Firehawk Summer ultra high performance tire and a new Destination tire:
Firestone Precision Touring
With a wide footprint and circumferential grooves, the Precision Touring provides improved wear, handling and resistance to hydroplaning. In addition, silica in the Touring's tread compound allows for increased flexibility, allowing for improved traction in wet conditions. The Touring's long wear boasts a 70,000-mile tread wear warranty. The tire will come in 20 sizes ranging from 15 to 17 inches. Popular fitments include the Chevy Malibu, Honda Civic, Toyota Corolla and Kia Sedona.
Firestone Precision Sport
The Precision Sport delivers great value. It's a high performance design, all-season tire with a 40,000-mile limited tread wear warranty. The Precision Sport will come in 17 sizes. Popular fitments include the Nissan Altima, Ford Focus and Mazda 3.
Firestone Firehawk Wide Oval Indy 500
Hailed as the new ultra high performance flagship for the Firestone brand, the Firehawk Wide Oval Indy 500 provides high response and powerful braking performance and is tuned for both wet and dry handling. With 40 sizes ranging from 15 to 20 inches and a W speed rating, the Firehawk Indy 500 is a fitment option for performance-minded consumers. Popular fitments include the Ford Mustang, Pontiac G8 and Honda Civic Si.
Firestone Destination ST
A sport truck tire that comes in 18 sizes, the Destination ST features an asymmetric, non-directional tread design built for all seasons and spirited handling. Tuned for performance SUVs, crossover vehicles and light trucks, the Destination is H, V and W-speed rated and comes with a 40,000-mile limited tread wear warranty. Popular fitments include the Jeep Liberty, Chevrolet Silverado and Mazda CX-7.
